She's the creator of "Thank a Vet"; a project she started when she was just 10-years-old. Eight years later, "Thank a Vet" has sent out 55,000 handmade cards to veterans in all 50 states. Weller is from a town of less than 1,200 people, but she doesn't let "being a small town girl" keep her from dreaming big. "I've always reached out and tried to make my own opportunities," said Heather. Weller applied for the inauguration invite in April before American's knew who their next president would be, but regardless of who would win, Weller said she wanted to be there.
